2) High point winner of the Country Fruit Wine Category*
3) High point winner of the Liqueur and Cider Category combined
4) Judges' Pick Overall, in any category
*there is an small error in the Fall Fair booklet with the category numbers
Tips for entering your wines:
1) If you can, enter something in each category. Two of the prizes are given for combined points and can cover multiple categories.
1) Submissions should be in a proper bottle with cork or flip-top closure only. Make sure your bottle is clean and presentable.
2) Clarity is judged. If you have sediment, rebottling to remove any sediment might be helpful.
3) Label the wine with the style and year made. Judges are looking for the qualities of the style of wine entered and points are given based on those characteristics.
4) Most important - make sure you enter your wine in the proper category!
K11 - White Wine - from kits, examples are Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Moscato etc.
K12 - Red Wine - from kits, examples are Shiraz, Merlot, Cab Sauv, etc.
K13 - Any Country Fruit Wine (Fresh) - made from your own fruit, examples are saskatoon, raspberry, rhubarb, etc.
K14 - Any Fruit Wine (Kit) - from a kit, examples are Island Mist Black Cherry or Orchard Breezin' Cranberry
We give back to the community!
"For every dollar spent locally, $0.63 is kept in the community, creating an economic impact of up to 4.6 times higher than a dollar spend non-locally."
"It’s been shown that local businesses give back to charities and community causes 24:1 against multinational organizations."

Over the past year we've been given the wonderful chance to support the:
So, next time you are out shopping, remember to stop in and check out what our gift shop has to offer. We love our community and work hard to be great neighbours!
These times are expensive and we're trying to figure out how to help reduce the burden of increased costs. Due to the world wine shortage of glass wine bottles, our bottle costs have almost doubled since 2019 - and just last week we got hit with yet another price hike on glass!
What to do? What to do?
Starting immediately we will be accepting used wine bottles, of any size, to be resold to our customers at a fraction of the cost of new bottles. To maintain our standards, certain health and safety guidelines will need to be followed. Due to limited storage space, please make arrangements with us before bringing in your used bottles. We will only accept bottles if we have the room to store them.
We will be inspecting and accepting bottles that are only:
a) in excellent condition,
b) cork finish (no screw tops),
c) clean inside and out, and
d) void of any labels, adhesive residue and other commercial packaging.
We will not accept:
a) any bottles that do not meet our standards as stated above,
b) chipped, cracked or broken bottles,
c) any bottles that have not been cleaned or properly stored,
d) any screw-top bottles,
e) any cardboard boxes that are dirty and in poor condition, or
f) drop offs (please contact us to arrange a time).
Please note that the bottle return depot will not accept bottles that have the commercial labels removed. Until now, your best bet was to take those bottles to the recycling depot and place them in the glass recycling bins. Hopefully, we have given everyone one more option on reusing/recycling/reducing!
REMEMBER: This is a pilot program, meaning we will be trying it out to see if it's worth implementing full time. It could be suspended or cancelled without notice. You can call the shop at 250-787-2739 for more information.
